DIO 'Wasn't Bothered' That He Wasn't Invited To SABBATH's ROCK HALL Induction
April 5, 2006Legendary heavy metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio "wasn't invited" to BLACK SABBATH's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and "wasn't bothered" by the fact that he wasn't present at the event, according to the Cleveland Scene Clubs Editor Ferris. After hearing that Ronnie wasn't at the Rock Hall, Ferris called the offices of Niji Management (which is owned by Wendy Dio) to see if Dio's camp had any kind of quote from Ronnie. Niji's Diana DeVille, who answered the phone, said, "Ronnie was not invited, but he's not bothered by it, because he is busy working on his own projects. He wishes them the best."
In related news, the Celeveland Scene did a "Last Word" regarding the best non-Ozzy Osbourne SABBATH album. Results include a quote from Alternative Press editorial director Aaron Burgess. Check it out at this location.
Dio recorded a total of three studio albums with BLACK SABBATH — 1980's "Heaven and Hell", 1981's "Mob Rules" and 1992's "Dehumanizer" — in addition to appearing on the classic live album "Live Evil" in 1983.
